NCD Medication Cause
Cause Summary
This cause will assist patients diagnosed with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) gain access to the NCD medications they are prescribed.
Problem / Challenge
The cost of several NCD medications in Medair's supported clinic in Jeb Janine are not currently covered, thereby preventing NCD patients from accessing their prescribed medications due to economic hardship.
Solution / Impact
Through this campaign, Medair will provide traditional and innovative voucher systems as a way for eligible patients to take their prescriptions from the clinic to nearby pharmacies to collect the appropriate medications free of charge. This will therefore eliminate the primary financial barrier to them addressing their NCD and longterm health.
