Cause Summary
Cash assistance to families recovering from Beirut blast
Problem / Challenge
Even though the Beirut blast occurred over a year ago many vulnerable families are still feeling the impact. The worsening economic crisis in Lebanon has made it difficult for them not only to make necessary repairs to their homes to survive the cold winter months, but also to buy basic items like food and medicine.
Solution / Impact
Medair has not forgotten about these vulnerable families. After visiting each family in person to assess their needs we have created a cash assistance program that will help them survive the winter months. The money they receive will be used to pay for food, medical expenses, Covid-19 hygiene items, and to finally make essential repairs to their homes that are required due to the cold winter season
